Why this site exists

Tool vendors are good at marketing and quiet about where their product falls down. This site is the counterweight. Every tool here is put through the same rubric and the same questions: what it actually costs, what the documentation commits to, what the repository shows, and where the limits are. Reviews are researched with AI assistance from vendor documentation and live pricing data, then read and signed off by a named editor before publishing. They are not based on hands-on testing, and they never claim to be.

Who runs this

Beetlix Swarm is written by Arif Ariyan, a senior software engineer with 15+ years building mobile and web apps. He led mobile at Grab for products used by millions, and now builds Beetlix, an AI-powered content platform. Every review is built from the vendor's own documentation and live pricing rather than a press kit, and he reads and signs off on each verdict before it goes live.

Why a single author

Most review sites split coverage across a rotating cast of freelancers, which makes the scores impossible to line up: one writer's 4 out of 5 is another writer's 3. Here, one person applies one rubric to every tool, so a rating on a coding agent means the same thing as a rating on a writing assistant. The cost is narrower coverage. The payoff is a score you can actually compare.

How I review

• Every tool is assessed against the same rubric, from its own documentation — not from hands-on testing.
• Pricing is verified against official sources and refreshed regularly.
• Where benchmark scores are cited, they come from published independent results, not vendor claims.

Where the data comes from

Pricing, model costs, GitHub activity, and benchmark numbers come from public APIs and refresh on a schedule, so a review written months ago still shows today's figures. When a tool changes its pricing or ships a major release, the affected reviews get flagged for a fresh pass instead of being left to rot.
